Short answer

Amelia Robotics is a real, operating program run by Amelia Labs LLC, with published terms, a privacy policy and live iPhone and Android apps for its consumer side, Amelia Chores. It is also young: as of 4 Nov 2026 we found no press coverage, funding announcement or named customer for the business program. Treat it like any new commercial partner and read the agreement before your crew records.

  • Verifiable: the operator, versioned business and referral terms, a privacy policy, and apps with thousands of ratings.
  • Not public yet: funding, named robotics customers and independent reviews of the business program.
  • Before signing, check the payment schedule, how approved hours are defined, what can be filmed and who owns the footage.

Is Amelia Robotics a real company?

Yes, as far as public records on its own site and the app stores show. Amelia's referral terms name Amelia Labs LLC as the operator, its website terms are governed by Georgia law, and its consumer app is live on both app stores. It publishes a business program, a page for robotics labs and versioned referral terms.

What it does not yet have is a public track record. We found no news coverage of Amelia Robotics or Amelia Labs, no funding announcement and no named robotics customer. That does not make it a scam. It means you are judging a new company mostly on its own documents, so the agreement matters.

What is not public about Amelia yet?

Several things a cautious owner would want to see are not published. Ask about them on the setup call.

  • Funding and ownership: no funding announcement or investor list was found.
  • Customers: Amelia tells robotics labs it can supply about 100,000 recording hours a month, but names no lab customers.
  • Independent reviews of the business program: public reviews so far are about the consumer Chores app, not businesses.
  • Payment history: there is no public record of business payouts. Ask for a sample statement and the payment date.

What do people say about the Amelia Chores app?

The consumer app has a strong iOS rating, 4.8 from about 5,700 ratings. Google Play shows more mixed reviews. One reviewer said they had to buy a head mount for about $15 before recording, then sit a video call. Others worried about where training videos go. Google Play's data safety section says the app may share location and personal info with third parties, that data is not encrypted, and that you can request deletion.

These are about the individual app, not the business program, but they show what to ask about equipment and privacy. Our Amelia Chores review covers the app in detail.

What should a business owner check before signing?

Treat it like signing any supplier or customer agreement. Get these answers in writing.

  • Payment terms: the monthly date, the statement format and how disputes over rejected footage are handled.
  • Approved hours: the acceptance criteria, the typical approval rate and how fast reviews happen.
  • Scope: which tasks, sites and people are included, and how you exclude customers, homes or sensitive areas.
  • Footage rights: who owns the recordings, who they are licensed to and whether you can ask for deletion.
  • Worker consent: how each crew member agrees, and whether the business must collect anything in writing.
  • Costs: whether you buy head mounts or other equipment, and whether there is any fee to join (the referral terms say none for referrers).
  • Exit: how to stop recording and what happens to footage already delivered.

What are the red flags in this category?

These apply to any program that pays for recordings, Amelia included. Reporters have documented rejected videos, withdrawal fees on small balances and high upload thresholds before payout.

  • A fee to join, buy a "starter kit" from the company or unlock tasks.
  • Guaranteed earnings, or income claims without assumptions.
  • No written agreement, or terms that change without a new version.
  • Requests for bank passwords or login details instead of payout details.
  • No way to see recorded versus approved time.
  • Vague answers about who receives the footage and how privacy is protected.

If it checks out, how does the money work for a business?

Amelia pays the business once a month for approved recording hours, and the owner decides the worker and team-lead shares. at the typical rate of about $10 per approved hour, a crew of 4 recording 15 approved hours a week each would earn the business about $2,400 a month before shares (4 x 15 x 4 x $10). That is an illustration. Your agreement and approved recordings decide actual pay.

Compare it with other programs in companies that pay to record work before deciding.
